God's Own Country - Bekal Fort & Kasaragod town

One can easily fall in love with women that’s basic principal of life. But here is full stop. What if one fall in love with his engine. Yes it’s heavy rains in Bengaluru the silicon city of India full of chaos for Durga Puja and famous of it’s potholes and heavy traffic wrapped with busy life hidden in lot’s of Software and Hardware codes. Cracking the codes can be time consuming and boring also but not pressing the accelerator paddle for engine. Yes it was sudden plan from man who I see special status in my life since we together have done many things in life starting the XLRI nights chowmins at dhaba or OUT of FOCS things J But this time my Ritesh bhaiya had something different in mind that too hidden far from this code life.

Yes we decided to press the engine and our life to fullest 878 km long drive for durga puja holiday to God’s own country Kerala via western Ghats. 

For me it was my second trip after JOG falls. After many inputs and research exactly it was not research it was IT guys making the plan and we zeroed down to Bekal Fort Kerela which is via beautiful  western Ghats.

Here is out route plan:
Day-01

Bengaluru > Sharavangola (God Bahubali) > Hassan > Sakleshpur > Kasargood > Bekal Fort

We started at 5:00 am from Bangalore followed Tumkur (Now Tumkuru) route then Mangalore highway it was misty morning and fresh air when we started exploring highway. Great scenes and great drivers.

After driving some 80 to 90 km we stopped at Kamat’s restaurant as first break for our Breakfast.

Rishi was on no mood to go inside restaurant and same with Guddi both became free bird since we left Bengaluru and hence Rishi was on Bhaiya’s neck so that he can see the world and rest other’s waiting for Breakfast.

When stepped at Kamat’s restaurant it’s 100% proved that we live for food only J huge crowd in morning also.

After Breakfast we headed towards Shravan Gola where God Bahubali is there

(Note *** This should be confused with Ancient Kingdom Bahubali J . The real challenge now to climb using stairs and that too I think more than 1000 stairs.

We spent nearly 2 hours there not expected but the sight was beautiful from top. Now it’s time to proceed for Kerala (Kasaragod). While driving all the valleys and scenic sites we stopped at two places also one beautiful waterfall and ancient Temple where on the Riverside we took best pics as solo as well as with kids.

It’s already evening 6 pm and we were behind the target. Anyhow we reached the Kasaragod Stay at night 9 pm finally. The room were already booked so no worry. We ordered dinner and bought them in packed condition. Every one very tired and after having dinner all slept for next morning.

Now Day – 2:

We headed towards sea beach. But as before that stepped inside good restaurant since it’s already 10:30 am so we thought have to full out tank before approaching for Paithanmala our final stay.

First we reached to Bekal fort it’s like history and cinema loves for each other many shots in every style using single lens.

After too much photography we decided to also check Bekal beach and believe me child inside all of us came out in full action. 

Buddies in Action

All rushed towards sea and enjoyed a lot. After repeated reminder finally thye beach shower ended by 6 pm and we started towards Day-3 plan which is PaithalValley a beautiful town nestled on Karnataka – Kerala border.

The drive to Paihal valley was full of adventure it was already night 9 pm when we crossed the half of journey and with high ups and downs between peaks we finally reached the destination at 11:00 PM.

We didn’t realize that we crossed these all way shile reaching to this place OMG it’s heaven.

It was morning time when major of leads gone for walk.

And captured these beautiful shots. Meanwhile I waked up and saw the beauty and this time it’s now time for my WagonR to be captured in frame.

Hello it's time to start for home ☺

Some of snaps beautifully describes this place where all seen to be relaxing.

After 11 am we decided to say good bye to this place and rushed towards journey to Bangalore.

We stopped at Owners place of Homestay where he served and shown his beautiful home on riverside. Again it’s Snap time J

Finally the return journey started towards Bangalore non-stop at 1 PM with all up’s and down finally after Mysore we stopped for Night dinner at this Dhaba and after that managed to reach Bangalore by 12:30 AM J

Beautiful journey with mesmerizing people always be in my sweet memories. And hats off to my WagonR also she climbed the top position till date.
